Session focuses on backyard fruit trees
A free question-and-answer session on backyard fruit trees will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 4 at the San Lorenzo Garden Center, 235 River St. This event is part of the 2020 series of fruit tree and gardening classes offered by the Friends of the UC Santa Cruz Farm & Garden.
Orin Martin, manager of UCSC’s Alan Chadwick Garden, will lead this discussion of fruit tree selection and care along with Matthew Sutton of Orchard Keepers. Bring your questions about best-performing fruit tree varieties, planting, fertility, irrigation and other backyard fruit tree topics.
