South Main rent
I’m sitting here reading the Longmont Times-Call Wednesday … edition, and I am totally amazed what that new apartment complex on South Main is going to cost. A studio will be $1,430, a two bedroom will be rented for $2,295 a month. That is totally ridiculous. Who can afford this? I thought Longmont was building apartments that were reasonable. These prices are not reasonable. They’re too high for, first of all, somebody on a fixed income like a senior citizen … and also have to pay for parking, which is totally ridiculous. I think the city needs to wake up. … People cannot afford to live in Longmont or Colorado anymore.
Inconsiderate driver
In reference to the individual in the blue Mustang leaving OfficeMax parking lot around 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening: Your demonstration of your loud exhaust pipes and burning off of the tires greatly affects us with post tramatic stress disorder and can physically make (us) ill. Please remember to be considerate of others when you do such things, because that was just ridiculous.
Sunday paper
Thank you for so many well-written and informative articles in the Sunday paper. I spent over an hour reading the Sunday paper, and it was so enjoyable. I think it’s just a privilege to be a person who is well-informed about our community and what is going on in (it) and near us. Thank you for keeping us updated and better informed on the issues.
Forced birth?
I read in the TC Line, some caller said that women should give birth if they get pregnant because all life is precious. But what about the 14-year-olds or the 13-year-olds who have been impregnated by their father or their brother or somebody related to them? Should they be forced to give birth to another unwanted baby? Should babies be forced to have babies? I don’t think that improves anybody’s life or outlook, and it’s not fair to the baby.
Lying numbers
I’d like to respond to “Judging Trump.” This is about judging (Adam) Schiff. Schiff made 82 false claims or lies last week, and in the three years since Trump has taken the oath of office has made 16,242 false or misleading claims. In 2017, Schiff made 2,000 false and misleading claims, and in 2018 he made 5,690 more for a total of 7,690. And in 2019 he made 8,156 false claims. I can’t prove my numbers. Neither can you.
A king?
God help us. 45% of the country apparently believes that the facts of Ukraine don’t matter and that the president of United States should be a king.
