Editors, thank you for the story on the front page of Christmas morning’s paper about Chandra Frank. What a lovely story about a woman who is so courageous to face her disabilities and the community who surrounds and supports her. That’s what Longmont is all about, helping each other through this life journey. I am so proud to be a member of this community.

Coal-free stocking
Once again my family was surprised to see no coal in my stocking. Once again I got up early and moved it to my spouse’s stocking.
Christmas Day drinking
This is state law makers explained to me why on Christmas Day I can’t go to the liquor store and buy liquor, bring home liquor, drink liquor, but I can go to a bar, drink liquor, get in my car and drive back home? Just curious.

Trying times
This one goes out to the TC Line readers. I thank each and every one of you for reading and staying engaged during what has been one of the most trying times for our country in my memory. Each day is an assault on the truth, and not a day goes by without at least one moment of despair and one of horror coming from the president or other Republicans. Our country needs every single one of you to stay engaged, to speak your truth, to refuse to be gas-lit, to refuse to lower your standards, to accept the now-disproven-but-still-a-good-metaphor boiling frog attacks on our liberty and freedoms. It’s time to vote the Republicans out on all levels from dog catcher to president. You have yourself a wonderful holiday here on this mighty Festivus weekend.
