Optimal size
I find it amusing that Longmont reached its optimal growth and optimal size about five minutes after the TC Line callers moved in, with the possible exceptions of their children and grandchildren, (who) should be able to have homes and jobs here. But not anybody new. Yep, five minutes after you got here.
Main Street projects
I really hope that someone can discover and then that this paper can print some sort of explanation for all the tiny reconstruction projects on Main … north of Third Avenue. All those intersections seemed to me to have nothing wrong with them, but they’ve been completely mashed up and repaved to the detriment of the movement of traffic lately.
More green space
I read the commissioners approved a $440 million budget for the county. I thought that was a great article, and I agree 100% with everything, but I didn’t see anything about beautification or open space. It would be great if we could have a little bit more taxation so that we could have more green space and more beautification. This county needs to be even more beautified.
Forbid partisans
An interesting idea: Forbid any comments by Democrats and Republicans alike, and let the Times-Call Line get back to being interesting like it used to be.
Identify yourself
Please don’t call homes and ask for somebody before you identify yourself, in the day of scams and fraud. I, particularly, almost immediately don’t like why you’re calling.
Christmas music
I’m just calling in response to the question about a radio station that plays nice music plus a few Christmas things here and there. I would recommend the local station, KGUD 90.7. It’s a listener-funded place, so you could also send a donation. But if you really want some pleasant music plus news about Longmont, it’s a very good place to go.
Wreaths coverage
It is sad that our newspaper couldn’t cover the first time that Longmont has ever done Wreaths Across America to honor the veterans that are buried in Mountain View Cemetery. There should have been at least a picture and an article.
Trump success
I want to send out a fantastic congratulations and shout out to the Republicans and President Trump. Today is Monday, Dec. 16, the stock market has set an all-time high, and I just heard that since the end of the Great Recession that the stock market has gone up one-third in value. That is great news. My 401(k) has doubled. So you can guarantee I’m voting for you, President Trump.
