Pick up the plops

The same advice goes to horse owners as it does to dog owners. Please pick up your horse poopie-doopies. You know, when those horses say plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, plop. Well, I don’t want that plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, plop on my land. So when you’re going down Blue Mountain Avenue, will you please pick up after your big old horses? Because that’s a lot of plop, and I don’t want that plop. So thank you very much. It would be well appreciated by many of us.

Trump and stocks

Trump’s presidency has provided more ups and downs for my 401(k) than Obama’s, which was pretty much just up. And while I’m happy it’s been mostly up lately, I find it interesting that my conservative friends act like good 401(k) numbers only started when Trump was elected. Also, if you want to establish a standard of a blatantly lying president that’s fine, but remember that you accepted it and there will be other elections and winners.

Uncomfortable facts

PolitiFact and the Washington Post do have leanings. That, however, does not discredit their numbers, because every instance is documented and available for review. The figures are facts, however uncomfortable they may make some people.

Weakening America

Trump is not defending America by creating national security risks for Americans as a result of him alienating our allies and withdrawing from strategic strongholds. Trump is not making America stronger by giving away our agricultural markets and then subsidizing farmers to make up for it. Trump is not making America great by diminishing our world influence with his embarrassing brand of world diplomacy. Trump is not building our national character by turning away the suffering when we have so much to share. Trump is not a protector of America’s environment when he eliminates legislation and policies that once protected our air and waterways. Trump, at every turn, is weakening America, not defending America.

Movie ads

My wife and I were also subjected to 25 minutes or more of advertisements at the local movie theater. And to make it worse, they were the same ads we’ve been seeing on television for months.

Like Emily Litella

I’d like to thank you for the good laugh I had (Tuesday). It brought me back to the days of Saturday Night Live and good old Emily Litella skits, because somebody has called in and said that the Trump defense team keeps talking about the Mueller Report which had nothing to do with the Trump impeachment hearings. That’s right, it doesn’t, but the House managers keep bringing up Russia and the Mueller Report. So thank you. I miss Emily Latella but … never mind.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
