Snow angel
I’m a senior citizen and was out on Tuesday afternoon shoveling my sidewalk when one of the city snowplow workers stopped and offered to clean my sidewalk. He certainly was an angel from heaven, and I wanted to say how much I appreciate and thank him for what he did.
TC Line
I love the TC line. It seems to me that if there are things that bother you about it, you don’t have to read it.
This is about the TC Line comment (that) you should … sign your name or not put anything in (the paper). Maybe when you have two people come to your door in 10 years that are trying to do you harm, you’ll think better about that. … I think the TC Line is just fine and gives me a voice. … Unless you can guarantee my safety, we’re not writing anything to the newspaper anymore. We’ll call it in.
To all the people calling in and complaining about the existence of the TC Line: Those very people must live in a world where everyone around them agrees with them and everyone always says yes to them.
Time change vote
Hey, it’s election year. Let’s all get together and vote out the time change.
Silly story
The front page headline “Mayors don’t dream of Oval Office” was a silly premise and a worthless story. All it did was give our local lefty mayors another chance to bash President Trump.
Senate trial
Imagine yourself being in court and none of the facts matter, the only thing that matters is your party (affiliation) and how many jurors are on each side of the same party as you or not. That’s what just happened in our Senate. Absurd.
The results of this impeachment trial without witnesses is that now Trump will be more aggressive with his policies that have resulted in thousands of deaths and will continue to. It’s hard to believe there are many Republicans in the Senate that give a hoot.
Ashamed
So this is what we call a press conference now? A vulgar berating of anyone who questions or opposes you? The world is watching, and this is what we’ve become? I’m thoroughly ashamed of this president, and I know it’s only going to get worse. The Senate has given him (license) to destroy decency and democracy. What president ever cursed on national television? He is truly nothing more than a carnival barker and nasty, cruel man, unfit for the highest office in the land.
Bloomberg’s billions
I just found out Bloomberg is worth $55 billion, with a b, yet he wants to be president of the United States. Why would you want to be president if you were a 55 billionaire? That’s just the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. He’s going to do it to help the country? He hasn’t even helped his own state.
