Assistant managers
I’m calling with TC Line regarding the article the other day, the hiring of a new assistant manager to help our city manager. This means we have two assistant managers we’re paying over $300,000 plus benefits, and we have a city manager. And I don’t know what we pay him, but what does he do if he needs two assistant managers? It’s pretty disheartening to know that they want to raise our utility rates but yet we want to add high-priced individuals to help a high-priced individual do his job.
Mature club
With the new year upon us, I was thinking it really be nice if the city had a nice public adult club that wasn’t noisy, that didn’t have to play music, that was just a great place to get a drink and have some conversation. It would be nice, too, if it was a no cell phone zone, had a well-lighted parking lot, (had) decent hours, and don’t locate it in some industrial warehouse district. Boomers would love it, and we’ve got some money, too.
Ambulance chasers
Wouldn’t it be nice to watch the local news without watching ambulance chasers … every other commercial? It gets so old.
Racism
Here we go again. One person thinks one act of racism at CU should … (mean) action should not be taken. Well, that one act of racism gives other people who are either undereducated or have no filters … permission to act in the same manner. We have to stop it. This racism, prejudice and downright lying as well as rude behavior is just not appropriate for our culture.
Scary Trump
To the people who are Trump supporters and they’re just jubilant that the polls show he’s going to win the next election, I just want them to think about the Mueller Report that came out and how many people have already gone to jail based on information received from the Mueller Report. Trump is not an innocent player in this. He’s trying to game the system and that’s what scares people, and he’s succeeding.
Crook, con man
This is about all these Trump fan-club articles (Monday). No, your president is a crook, a con man and a thief. That will be proven, and it already has been proven, really, if you start looking at all the facts. Your president is going down in flames. … And yes, I’d like someone to list all his accomplishments that he’s made. Feel free to call that in, OK? The only thing Donald Trump has done is the biggest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in the history of America, that’s all he’s done, and basically sold your country down the river.
