Hometown paper
It’s just so evident anymore that you are not the Longmont Times-Call that I knew. You do not cover news of interest, the headlines (Thursday) were terrible, and you should focus on what’s going on in our nation as well. We appear to be Mayberry RFD, according to your paper. I just wish we had another choice. I wish we had our hometown paper back.
‘Forced birth’
To the person that (called) in about “Forced birth,” about young girls getting pregnant from a relative …, should they be forced to give birth: Yes, they should. That baby did not ask to be created, so why should it be aborted? There are plenty of couples that will adopt that child. Believe me, I know from experience. Before abortion, we adopted five of those babies, and they have all grown up to be wonderful adults. They’re parents, they’re educated, and they had every right to be born.
I’m responding to the “Forced birth” (call) in the TC Line. In God’s eyes, no matter the cause of the pregnancy, no future baby should be murdered. Way too many have been murdered.
Fact-checking
I’d like to respond to the person that doesn’t understand the fact-checking. It has been factually checked that Trump has lied 16,000 times. There’s a thing called FactCheck. Every time he says something, there are people that are doing fact checks. It’s not made up numbers like you made up numbers for Adam Schiff. I know you think everything is fake news. There are facts. You just need to look at them.
Cats and dogs
I’m sure that five or six times every week we’re seeing a police note in the Times-Call about a dog bite or cat bite. Don’t people have anything better to throw at the police, who should be preventing and solving crimes. Before long I suspect we’ll have calls to the police about birds during their business on somebody’s windshield. Good heavens.
Trashed values
Some people say that it’s OK that Trump lies and trashes every American value. Some people say they just like his style and the (amount) of their 401(k) is up. I wonder what my father, who died in a fox hole, would have the say about that.
Twisted definitions
It’s a sad day when the lifelong, often Biblical, definition of words can be so changed that they are meaningless — Genesis 2:24, Romans Chapter 1. Yesterday we were in a pet store with a small dog, and the 10% discount of the day was for Chihuahuas and goldens in the grooming room. My wife handed the little guy over to the tech and said he was a teacup poodle but he identifies is a Chihuahua. Saying something is what you wish it was does not change the fact, the law, or agree with God’s law, which is country was founded on.
