High-cost trap
(Being) trapped by the high cost of housing leads to young people renting and seniors unable to downsize without losing their senior discount. We have lived in our house for 44 years and find it difficult to move. Infrastructure, air quality have gone downhill. For a native Coloradan, it is certainly disappointing.

How about them Chiefs? 31-20 over San Francisco. The closest Denver came was Alan Roche, the old 103.5 announcer. I think he still fills in once in a while. He was the announcer for the Super Bowl, and he’s also the voice of the Denver airport.
Underwear ad
I highly agree with the caller about the underwear ad in Sunday’s paper. I think it was totally inappropriate.
Halftime show
Whatever happened to family-oriented halftime (shows) during the Super Bowl? This year was absolutely horrid. Nothing that children should see. And also, the commercials were inane, except for a couple that weren’t too bad —– the Alzheimer’s one and couple of the others. But for the most part, please let’s clean up the halftime. It was disgusting.
Stupid? Yes
Here we go again. Another supporter of Trump using the word “hate.” And another Trump supporter asking us if we think you’re stupid. The answer is yes. Trump won because of the Electoral College, not by the popular vote. So there are more of us who dislike the result of the election than those of you who favor it.

Feb. 3, as my wife was trying to scrape the ice off her car window, a passing young lady stopped her car and helped her to clear the ice. Now that’s Longmont spirit. We don’t know who the young lady was but thank her for her kindness.
No politics
Please, please, couldn’t we make the Times-Call Line be politically free? No politics for a while. That’s all it is anymore. I loved it when it was comments about our city, things back and forth (about) our area. But please take the politics out of it for a while.

Insulted presidents
I need some help. For over six years, we were told that President Obama was born in Kenya, but there was a birth certificate that said he was born in Hawaii. Now, it can’t be both places. Why is it all right to insult President Obama but not President Trump? Why is being critical of President Trump worse than being critical of President Obama? I’m confused.
