Opposed to rink

In (Wednesday’s) paper, Mayor Bagley was bemoaning the fact that the pool and rink did not pass. I would agree that we probably need a pool, but politicians just had to add a rink with it. So perhaps now they’ll realize that the majority of people don’t feel there’s a need for a rink also.

Climate change

Let’s face the facts: It’s very sad. Some people will not understand or believe in climate change until they’re gasping for air from the air pollution, and then maybe, maybe they’ll come around and say, “Oh my gosh. We have climate change.”

Latinx

I congratulate the first Latina member of City Council but find it laughable that the Boulder County Dems would term her a “Latinx.”

Sleazy media

There is nothing more despicable, sleazier and corrupt than the mainstream media in America. An ABC staffer who has taken a new job with CBS reveals a video of Amy Robach telling how her company has quashed her attempts to out Jeffrey Epstein. Instead of letting Robach report her findings, ABC calls CBS … and … CBS … fire(s) the staffer. Is there any better example of how incestuous this slimy industry is?

Fees and taxes

I just purchased a small utility trailer for personal use. I was shocked when I had to get the license plates with, between fees and taxes, 17 different charges. My plates ended up costing $444.75. With all these fees and taxes,  how can our government always have no money? Something is definitely wrong with this picture.

Keystone spill

That article by the AP writer about the terrible oil spill up in North Dakota on the Keystone pipeline said it affected about 22,500 square feet. Suppose he knows that’s only about half an acre?

Coal mining

As coal companies are going out of business … because the market place just can’t sustain coal mining, and the minors that are old and retired are sick and their pensions are gone … Trump is trying to continue to revive coal by rolling back standards of pollution. That makes no sense. I don’t understand.

Bicycle licenses

I think that bicyclists should have to have licenses for their bike, not only for their protection but for me, a pedestrian.

Keeping us safe?

I find interesting that the DA is arguing that our community was safe when Jose Gutierrez was out on a low bond after sexually assaulting a young girl. How does that keep us safe? I have to support ICE in this instance, when they are removing dangerous people from our community. If the  DA and courts are really concerned about safety, then Gutierrez would still be in jail on a high bond.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
